Whoa, slow down.

It's been a while since I've posted anything.  I just realized it's mid-November.  What happened to 2008?  When I was a kid, I felt like time just crawled by - everything took so long.  Waiting for Christmas, a birthday, your driver's license, to turn 18, 21.... Now that I'm older and have a million more responsibilities, a couple of kids, and the weight of the world on my shoulders - TIME FLIES!!!  My kids are growing up in the blink of an eye.  My life is flashing before me.  I wish I could slow it down a bit.  Take things easy.  I'm not overly scheduled, I don't have crazy to-do lists, and I am not typically in a rush.  But even then, where does the time go?  

Sometimes, especially given my current situation, I want to fast forward a little bit and get to "where I'm going."  At this rate, I guess I already am fast forwarding.  

I wonder if all the technology makes us feel like each day just breezes past us.  We hardly have to wait on anything.  It's all right at our fingertips.  Email.  Cell phones.  Internet.  What ever happened to waiting on something to come via mail.  We can overnight anything to anyone anywhere in the world basically.  

Makes my head spin.  

I am thankful for our readily available society.  But I have a feeling I'd like growing up in say, the 60's or 70's.  A different time, a different world.
